Job Description
Locum4Nurses is looking for a Practice Nurse to work in Builth Wells.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Practice Nurse who enjoys a structured clinic day, a supportive team and the ability to choose regular sessions that fit around other commitments.
Flexible sessions available with options to build a regular weekly pattern.

Role Snapshot
• Treatment room and routine nursing clinics within primary care.
• Opportunity to focus on long-term condition reviews depending on skill set.
• Clear clinic templates and supportive admin processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver treatment room duties including dressings, wound care and injections.
• Perform cervical cytology where trained and competent.
• Support long-term condition monitoring such as asthma and COPD reviews where skilled.
• Carry out immunisations and vaccinations in line with PGDs and policy.
• Provide health promotion advice and preventative care interventions.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure appropriate coding.
• Work with the MDT to support safe, efficient clinic delivery.
Requirements
• NMC registration with recent UK primary care nursing experience.
• Competence in treatment room skills and routine practice nurse duties.
• Cytology qualification where required for the clinic focus.
• Up-to-date safeguarding and mandatory training compliance.
• Ability to work confidently within PGDs and local protocols.
• Right to work in the UK and completion of compliance checks.
Working Pattern
• Up to 3 days per week available, with flexibility on which days you work.
• Options for a consistent weekly rota or ad-hoc cover.
• Session lengths can be agreed to match your availability.
