Job Description
Locum4Nurses is looking for Practice Nurses to support a friendly GP practice in Brighton.
The practice offers a steady workload, well-planned nursing clinics and strong day-to-day admin support, helping you deliver high standards across treatment room and long-term condition care. You will be working with a collaborative team that values good communication, clear systems and a positive patient experience.
Up to 3 days a week available with flexibility on sessions.
Role Snapshot
• Practice Nurse clinics covering routine nursing care, long-term condition support and treatment room duties.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver chronic disease reviews and monitoring in line with practice protocols.
• Provide immunisations and vaccinations as required by the service.
• Undertake wound care, dressings and treatment room procedures.
• Perform cervical screening where competent and maintain accurate documentation.
• Support infection prevention, stock management and safe clinical environments.
• Record clinical activity accurately and communicate outcomes to the wider team.
Requirements
• NMC registration with recent experience as a Practice Nurse in UK primary care.
• Competence in treatment room duties and long-term condition management.
• Cervical screening and immunisation experience preferred where applicable.
• Sound understanding of safeguarding, infection control and documentation standards.
• Professional, patient-focused communication and a reliable approach to sessions.
Working Pattern
• Part-time sessions available up to 3 days per week.
• Flexible selection of days with options for regular ongoing bookings.
• Session mix tailored to your skills and the practice clinic needs.
