Job Description
Locum4Nurses is looking for Advanced Nurse Practitioners in Irvine.
You will deliver same day care, triage and autonomous clinical decision-making within a busy GP setting.
Flexible sessions available up to 3 days a week, arranged around your availability.
Role Snapshot
• Autonomous ANP sessions with a mix of minor illness and urgent on-the-day demand.
Key Responsibilities
• Undertake advanced assessment, diagnosis and treatment of acute presentations
• Prescribe independently where appropriate and work within local protocols
• Request and interpret investigations, escalating as clinically indicated
• Provide safety netting, referrals and follow-up plans with clear documentation
• Support clinical team flow through triage and clinical prioritisation
• Maintain accurate records on the clinical system and code activity appropriately
Working Pattern
• Up to 3 days per week with flexible session times
• AM, PM or full-day sessions available depending on service need
• Short-term and ongoing bookings available
Requirements
• NMC registration and ANP qualification at Masters level or equivalent experience
• Independent Prescriber qualification preferred
• Recent UK primary care ANP experience with autonomous practice
• Confident with triage, minor illness and urgent presentations
• Strong documentation, safeguarding awareness and clinical governance approach
