Job Description
Locum4Nurses is looking for Advanced Nurse Practitioners to support a modern and friendly GP practice in Brentwood.
This is a high-quality primary care setting with structured clinical support, clear escalation pathways and an efficient workflow designed to help you focus on safe, patient-centred care. You will join a welcoming multidisciplinary team with strong admin processes and consistent systems for appointments, documentation and onward referral.
Up to 3 days a week available with flexible sessions.
Role Snapshot
• Primary care ANP cover with a mix of same-day and pre-booked appointments, supported by established practice processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Assess, diagnose and manage acute presentations within scope of ANP practice.
• Undertake clinical examinations, request and interpret investigations and initiate evidence-based treatment plans.
• Prescribe independently as appropriate and provide clear safety-netting and follow-up arrangements.
• Manage minor illness and urgent presentations, escalating complex cases appropriately.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to high standards of documentation.
• Support the wider team through clinical advice, signposting and shared decision-making.
Requirements
• Registered Nurse with relevant advanced practice qualification.
• Independent prescriber with demonstrable primary care experience.
• Confident managing undifferentiated presentations and long-term conditions within scope.
• Strong knowledge of local referral processes and clinical governance expectations.
• Excellent communication skills and a calm, professional approach to workload.
Working Pattern
• Locum engagement with sessions available up to 3 days per week.
• Flexible start times and session lengths available by agreement.
• Opportunity for regular ongoing bookings depending on practice needs and fit.
