Job Description
Locum4Nurses is looking for Advanced Clinical Practitioners in Llandaff North.
You will provide autonomous assessment and management of acute presentations, supporting same day demand.
Flexible sessions up to 4 days a week, with patterns tailored to service need and your diary.
Role Snapshot
• ACP clinics with a strong urgent care focus and supported escalation routes.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform comprehensive clinical assessments and develop management plans
• Diagnose and treat acute illness, arranging follow-up and onward referral
• Request and interpret investigations within competence and governance frameworks
• Prescribe independently where qualified, ensuring medicines safety
• Work alongside GPs and MDT colleagues to prioritise risk and workload
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to clinical quality processes
Working Pattern
• Up to 4 days per week with flexible session structures
• Block bookings and temporary cover available
• Mixture of telephone and face-to-face work may be offered
Requirements
• Relevant professional registration and ACP-level qualification or equivalent competence
• Recent UK primary care or urgent care experience in an autonomous role
• Independent Prescriber qualification preferred for many sessions
• Up-to-date safeguarding and mandatory training
• Strong clinical reasoning, communication and risk management skills
