Job Description

Locum4Nurses is looking for General Practitioners to provide locum support to a well-run GP practice in Horley.

This opportunity offers a stable clinical environment with experienced management, consistent workflow and reliable admin support to keep your clinics running smoothly. The practice values high standards of care, sensible workload planning and clear clinical pathways, with effective team communication and robust systems for results and correspondence.

Up to 4 days a week available with flexible session choices.

Role Snapshot
• GP locum cover with a balanced mix of routine and on-the-day work, supported by strong practice systems.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver safe, patient-centred consultations for a range of acute and chronic presentations.
• Manage long-term conditions and medicines reviews in line with best practice.
• Action results and correspondence within agreed turnaround times.
• Make appropriate referrals and provide clear safety-netting and follow-up plans.
• Contribute to safeguarding and clinical governance processes as required.
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to maintain patient flow and quality care.

Requirements
• GMC registration with inclusion on the GP Register and appropriate performer status.
• Recent UK primary care experience with confident autonomous decision-making.
• Strong clinical documentation and safe prescribing practice.
• Professional communication and a pragmatic approach to workload.
• Commitment to high clinical standards and patient experience.

Working Pattern
• Locum sessions available up to 4 days per week.
• Flexible sessions with options for ongoing regular bookings.
• Clinic templates and support arrangements confirmed prior to start.
