Job Description
Locum4Nurses is looking for General Practitioners in Airdrie Community Health Centre.
You will provide safe, patient-centred GP consultations with a focus on efficient clinical decision-making.
Flexible sessions up to 2 days a week, with choice of session blocks where available.
Role Snapshot
• GP sessions covering routine and on-the-day demand with appropriate admin time.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver telephone and face-to-face consultations and manage undifferentiated presentations
• Diagnose, treat and refer using evidence-based guidance and local pathways
• Review results, action documents and complete clinical correspondence in-session
• Manage long-term conditions and medicines optimisation where required
• Identify safeguarding concerns and follow practice escalation processes
• Document clearly and code activity accurately on the clinical system
Working Pattern
• Up to 2 days per week with flexible start and finish times
• Sessions may be AM, PM or full day depending on service needs
• Locum and short-term cover options available
Requirements
• GMC registration with a licence to practise and inclusion on the GP Register
• Recent UK NHS primary care experience
• Sound knowledge of QOF, safeguarding and clinical governance expectations
• Ability to work efficiently with good risk management and communication skills
• Experience using common GP IT systems is advantageous
