Job Description
Locum4Nurses is looking for Practice Nurses in Barton Upon Humber.
You will support treatment room delivery and routine nursing clinics within general practice.
Flexible sessions up to 2 days a week, with regular weekly options available.
Role Snapshot
• Practice Nurse cover focused on treatment room work and preventive care clinics.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver wound care, dressings, ear care and other treatment room duties
• Administer vaccinations and immunisations in line with PGDs and policy
• Perform cervical cytology if trained and competent
• Undertake chronic disease reviews such as asthma, COPD and diabetes where appropriate
• Carry out health checks, bloods, ECGs and routine observations
• Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to infection control standards
Working Pattern
• Up to 2 days per week with flexible session times
• Locum shifts, short-term cover and ongoing bookings available
• Session length can be agreed to match your availability
Requirements
• NMC registration and recent UK general practice nursing experience
• Competence in treatment room duties and vaccinations
• Cytology and chronic disease management skills are desirable
• Up-to-date mandatory training including safeguarding and BLS
• Reliable, organised and able to work independently within a team
