Job Description
Locum4Nurses is looking for Nurse Practitioners in Chatteris.
You will manage minor illness presentations and support urgent appointment capacity within primary care.
Flexible sessions up to 3 days a week, with shift patterns to suit your schedule.
Role Snapshot
• NP clinics focused on minor illness, triage support and safe onward referral.
Key Responsibilities
• Assess, diagnose and treat minor illness and common acute conditions
• Provide telephone triage and face-to-face reviews as required
• Order and interpret investigations within competence and local policy
• Escalate complex cases to the duty clinician and coordinate follow-up
• Complete clinical documentation and coding to required standards
• Contribute to safe patient flow and consistent clinical handover
Working Pattern
• Up to 3 days per week with flexible session lengths
• AM and PM sessions available depending on demand
• Part-time and ad-hoc cover options available
Requirements
• NMC registration with relevant NP training and recent UK primary care experience
• Comfortable managing undifferentiated presentations within scope
• Independent Prescriber qualification is beneficial but not essential for all sessions
• Up-to-date safeguarding and basic life support training
• Good communication and ability to work autonomously with support when needed
